What is Pixel selling? How different is it from others?
Pixel Computers is more than just a hardware integration or software development company. Pixel's sells tailor made Linux based solutions to suit small to large enterprises. The difference - Software and hardware are bundled together making it a bundled solution, this boosts system performance. Also reliability and future protection are ensured as the software is developed using open standards, making it a complete solution.

Are Pixel Servers "Branded"?
All server components and sub assemblies are from branded, well-established companies, most of them ISO 9000 certified. These companies are based in Taiwan.
Pixel servers go through a 48-hour "burn-in" test in its R&D labs before installation. The components chosen have been designed have a mean MTBF of over 50,000 hours.

What are the hardware standards under which these servers are manufactured?
All the servers are manufactured by ISO 9000 approved companies and as per CE and FCC regulations.

How are the Pixel Servers a better buy?
Surely the Pixel Servers are a better Buy. They come with tailored bundled solutions, like an appliance with batteries included!
Also, let's take into account the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of any other server (with other commercial software implementation and configuration) and compare it with a Pixel Server, you will surely find Pixel Servers are the best buy in town!
Contact Pixel Computers for the best pricing for your needs.

What does "responsible solutions" mean?
This is an interesting question. Support is the most important issue in any business today. A responsible solution is one that is based on OpenSource technology or Open Standards. Pixel uses these standards, which ensures that the software does not die in a short span of time but would be supported almost forever.

We have invested in other commercial operating system; does it make sense to invest in a Pixel Server now?
It depends on the cost of buying reasonable upgrades/licenses as per your company's growth rate. If your company has good prospects and that is costing your company more money in terms of extra licenses/upgrades, do check with Pixel on how its solutions can help you save that money!

Ok, we already have a "Branded Server" but we want your services/software customization
Yes! Pixel can offer this service on a case-to-case basis. Pixel requires all the information and support on the "branded server" you are using.
However, Pixel's experience has found that some proprietary hardware may not work well with Pixel's implementation of Linux. Pixel then is limited to offer solutions to such hardware. Pixel strongly believes that its superior software implementation adds value to your hardware.
Do get in touch, Pixel is open to working at multi-levels.

How are Pixel's solutions future protected?
In today's changing world, Pixel has faster processors to match the speeds for bigger programs (memory hogs) of software companies.
Linux is changing too and in many fold. In fact Linux boasts of several features that popular Operating Systems can only dream of currently. Contact Pixel Computers for more info. Pixel can demonstrate how the Pixel Servers are future protected.

Do you have an upgrade/update Policy?
Yes, Pixel has an update/upgrade pricing that is realistic and is based on current market pricing of various components. Pixel however charges a nominal fee for the update/upgrade

What kind of support/warranty does Pixel offer?
Pixel's standard warranty with the hardware is for 12 months from the original date of purchase/installation, which ever is earlier.
· Hardware Warranty - Standard Next Business Day Support for 12 months covering parts and labour. Please follow this link for more detailed information… service contract section

What is Linux? Is it a new game?
It's the most happening thing in the technology front. Its giving other popular operating systems a run for the money if you call that a game!

Why is Linux "HOT"?
Yes, it's hot because it's developed in "Internet time". Hundreds of thousands of users/developers code (develop) and keep the software updated.
It's also becoming a FAD to say - "I use Linux; do you?" If you aren't using it you are missing a Whole New World

If Linux is free then what is Pixel selling?
Free refers to "Freedom" and not "free solution". Pixel offers Linux services and support. It provides you cost effective solutions in the shortest span of time.

How Can Linux Work for me?
Well, you have to inform Pixel Computers what you need the system to do for you, and if you are using any other system, for what?
It's always possible to offer a solution on Linux. Just a word of caution - Linux has not been tested to launch rockets into outer space.

We are not familiar with Linux, how can we use a Linux server?
When you buy a Pixel Server you enjoy the benefits of a well-configured Linux system, ready to go! Its hassle free, an easy to administer Linux system, and developed for people with little or no knowledge of Linux.

If it is a community effort, who supports Linux?
Yes! Linux is the world's largest community effort and development occurs in Internet time. It is rapid and effective. There are thousands of Linux user groups popularly known as LUGs and almost every city has it's own LUG. There are several forums where Linux users can post technical questions and answers are normally available in less than 1 hour. This service is voluntary, done in good sprit and is an emerging contributory culture in today's commercial world.

If it's so good, why don't we see everyone using this wonderful technology?
Linux is not made by any single company or a country, so obviously there is no real "marketing budget".
Also, Linux is built in a very modular fashion that gives users ultimate flexibility to configure as required. The flexibility to configure has resulted in a steep learning curve, a curve that requires a Linux specialist to study and offer. This is where Pixel Computers comes into the picture.

Pixel Computers has been using and implementing Linux solutions over a long period of time and has the knowledge and capability to offer a solution quickly to suit your requirement.
When you buy a Pixel Server you enjoy the benefits of a well-configured Linux system, ready to go! Its hassle free, an easy to administer Linux system, and developed for people with little or no knowledge of Linux.
